Until then, sit back, and try not to download WhatsApp from sketchy sites. We’ve reached out to Facebook and Google for further comment, and will update this piece accordingly. I’ll be honest, though, I’ve never used either of these stores, so I wouldn’t even know if it was ever there in the first place. In the meantime, it seems that WhatsApp is also not available on third-party app stores, like Huawei’s AppGallery and Samsung’s Galaxy Store. The issue appears to be limited to Android, and not affecting iOS users. That, of course, opens a whole new can of worms and a whole lot of opportunities for hackers to distribute malicious instances of the Facebook-owned privacy messenger. Curiously, while it won’t show up in search, WhatsApp is still available through its dedicated Play Store page.ĭespite the disappearance, WhatsApp seems to function just fine for now.įor the record, you can still get the app from third-party sources by downloading the APK.

Categoryĭifferences between Microsoft Teams on Windows and Mac OS What do the Mac and Windows versions of Teams have in common?Īs you’ve gathered from the previous section, there aren’t many differences between the Mac and Windows desktop versions of the Teams app. You can, however, share system audio in other meeting types as seen in the detailed feature comparison at the bottom of this post. This one is really quite simple – other than cosmetic differences, the only feature lacking in the Mac version of Teams is the ability to share system audio specifically during live events. What are the differences between the Mac and Windows versions of the Teams client? The source of my information is this resource from Microsoft, but I’ve aggregated all of the data from all of its links into a single location here for convenience. Note: Looking for a Teams desktop vs web version comparison? Check out this other post. This post will detail how that Teams desktop application differs between Windows and Mac machines. Microsoft Teams is a bit different from many of the other Microsoft 365 apps in that it has a dedicated desktop application whereas many of the rest are exclusively browser-based (SharePoint, Planner, Forms, etc.). I do see frame drops in big areas (such as Kawak Yaku and Paititi) but it's definitely playable. Shadow (the most demanding of the bunch) runs well on my M1 Mac mini. I have App Store versions of Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Rise of the Tomb Raider, and Tomb Raider (2013). Luckily Tomb Raider has a very large fanbase and there are several wikis and fan sites dedicated to the franchise. Note that these are game specific so you'll have to search for the instructions specific to the title. I'm sure there's an online guide as to customizing the controls whether they be keyboard/mouse or gamepad. The PC versions also have more mods than the Mac versions. These days I am sticking with my custom built Windows gaming PC since it has a better graphics card anyhow. I bought the remake trilogy and I've installed them on both Windows PC and Mac. When you buy the Tomb Raider titles on Steam can get the same title on other supported platforms. Since I do not own an Apple Silicon Mac I cannot verify its performance but since there is no one complaining that the demo was faked, I assume actual M1 Mac owners who have played this title are getting comparable performance to what was shown in June 2020 to a worldwide audience. First of all, Shadow of the Tomb Raider was one of the featured demos during the WWDC Keynote Presentation last June it ran really well under Rosetta 2.
